(This poem is dedicated to the memory of my
cousin David, who passed away yesterday.)

above is an
unfinished drawing
in multicolored pixels

this poem has no ending
and therefore must be
deemed incomplete as well

art imitates life?
life imitates art?
does it matter?

we are fashioned by God
and our lives are expressions
of art——both good and bad

in all of our history
death always concludes
lives unfinished

for there is always
so much more to do
there are always more

flowers to pick
food to savor
movies to watch

wine to sip
hugs to give
puppies to pet

Ideas to inspire
forgiveness to offer
love to spread

songs to sing
races to run
dances to dance

things to learn
battles to win and
poems to write

If only there was
more ti

  1. art is life, great set of words, bless his soul, he had a great heart, amen

  2. yes, we never know how much ti.. we have left.
